Center for Genomics Researcher Publishes on Behcet’s Disease
Dr. Mohamed Ashour, research assistant and laboratory manager at the Center for Genomics at Zewail City, published a paper titled Polymorphisms of Interleukin 6 and Interleukin 10 in Egyptian People with Behcet's in the journal Immunobiology on March 20, 2014.
The study shows how the polymorphism of a specific gene (interleukin 10) could result not only in increasing susceptibility to Behcet’s disease, but also in its clinical manifestation.
