A Stanford University study lists the World's top 2% scientists: Six are from Zewail City

 

A study conducted by Stanford University released a list of the top 2% of the world's scientists, which includes all scientists who are among the top 100,000 across all fields from 149 countries.

Dr. Mahmoud Abdrabou, Acting Executive President and Dean of Strategic Enrollment Management, announced that 6 scientists from Zewail City were among the Stanford University study of the best 2% of scientists worldwide for 2020, and they are Dr. Salah Obayya Chair Professor and Founding Director of the Center for Photonics and Smart Materials, Dr. Shaaban Khalil, Professor and Founding Director of the Center for Fundamental Physics, Dr. Ibrahim El-Sherbiny, Director of the Center for Materials Science, Dr. Mostafa Abdullah, Associate Professor of Renewable Energy Engineering, Dr. Mohamed Farhat, Professor at the Center for Photonics and Smart Materials, and Dr. Abdel-Rahman Mayhoub, Associate Professor of Nanoscience.


The results of the study are based on the Scopus database of the international publishing house Elsevier, and its results were recently published in the journal of PLOS Biology, which includes 22 major scientific fields and 176 sub-fields.
